Dutch Pot Can I Substitute A Regular Pot For A "Dutch Oven"?

Can I substitute a regular pot for a "Dutch Oven"? - dutch pot

I make a recipe for potato stew with potatoes, sweet words in Dutch oven cooking ... but I did not. I do not care if I have a buy ... But if I must ... I'd rather save my money for Christmas presents ... I pot a regular ol ', but ... Is it enough?

Depends - do you cook in the same Dutch oven? I think it is good if you boil potatoes, then transferred to a glass bowl or jar.

Sometimes it's good to have a Dutch oven, but leave especially if there is something to simmer for hours at very low. Or go directly to the hearth oven.

It should be good. I use all kinds of pots. Sometimes when a recipe requires a Dutch oven ... that means the size.

sometimes only when the size that counts, but not if you cook a Dutch oven is heated iron slowly but retains heat longer and evenly.

the difference between a Dutch oven and the pots are involved in the rule. The Dutch oven has a lid and handles are usually made of metal, so you can start at the top of the stove and then transfer into the oven. Most pots have a plastic handle that can not be transferred. To the extent that it is not in the oven, do not worry.
